Heavy Oxidation/Sand Scratch Removal Buff Kit w/ DeWalt 849x Rotary Buffer is a complete cutting kit for light-color gelcoat and paint: use it to remove sanding scratches after wet sanding, or to restore oxidized gelcoat that does not need sanding.
Select the option for your vessel length to set how much compound and how many pads come in the kit. Usage may vary based on gelcoat condition.
What's in the kit
- Starke Level-R Heavy Cut Compound (32 oz.) — for severe oxidation, heavy scratches, and deep imperfections in gelcoat
- Buff and Shine Double Sided White Wool Cutting Pad (8.5" x 1.5") — removes oxidation and scratches while minimizing heat build-up
- Double Sided Pad Adaptor — secure fit of the wool pad to the machine
- Buff and Shine Pad Spur — cleans and refreshes the wool pad between passes
- DeWalt Rotary Polisher — rotary buffer for running Level-R on gelcoat
